The Mitchell cremation urn is constructed from solid cherry and features strong vertical lines. The base has a cove detail that contrasts nicely with the contour of the lid. The bottom is easily removed with 4 brass screws for easy cremains placement.

We have meticulously hand sanded this cremation urn to ensure that the satin lacquer finish is smooth to the touch and will last for a life time. This cremation urn is suitable for either internment or display, and felt pads have been included on the base to protect any surface should you choose to display the urn.

What inspired the Mitchell cremation urn?

Mt. Mitchell is the tallest mountain in our home state of North Carolina, so we thought that "Mitchell" was a suitable name for this cremation urn, which is that tallest urn that we manufacture. The vertical lines and simple beauty are a both a tribute to this urn's namesake, as is our choice of wood. Cherry trees can be seen growing on the slopes of Mt. Mitchell throughout the year.
