We're sorry, but the item you are trying to view has been discontinued. If you reached this page from our website (ie. not from a bookmark or a Google search), please contact us and let us know.

The Sterling cremation urn is crafted from solid cherry wood. The lid, base, and body of this urn are rounded to give a contemporary appearance which contrasts nicely with the use of traditional cherry wood. Great care has been taken during construction to make certain that the ends of this cremation urn are a smooth and continuous arc.

The base of this cremation urn includes cork pads to protect any surface should you choose to display the urn. The base is securely attached to the body of the urn with six brass screws for easy cremains placement.

After construction, this cremation urn is meticulously hand sanded to prepare the urn to accept a lasting satin lacquer finish that is both smooth to the touch and complements the underlying beauty of the wood.

What inspired the Sterling cremation urn?

In 1903, a village was established at the northwest base of Mount Sterling to house a labor force needed to log the Big Creek Valley valley and operate a timber mill. With it's rounded shape and log-like appearance, we felt that naming this cremation urn the Sterling would be a fitting tribute to the mountain that housed one of the original timber mills.
